Search everything
The search box sits in the top bar of every screen, so you can look something up in the middle of a conversation. Type, press Enter, and the Search page lists what matches.
What it finds
- Cases, by their number, their subject, or anything said on them, including your team's internal notes on the conversation.
- Contacts, by name or email address, and the notes written about them.
- Contacts and companies, by any of their phone numbers, typed in any usual form.
- Companies and deals.
- Files customers attached, by their file name.
- Knowledge articles, by the words of their title or their text.
Each result says what it is (case, contact, company, deal, file or article). An article's result also shows whether it is Internal or Shareable, its state, and any flag or review warning.
Go straight to a case
Type # and the number, such as #12, to open case 12 directly.
How words are matched
Whole words are matched with their endings, so "syncing" finds "sync". Part of a name, an address, a subject or a file name is matched from three characters. The page lists the 30 best matches.
What you see
Search shows what your role can see. When your role's reach is narrowed, the page says so above the results, and an empty search reads "Nothing you can see matches" with the words you typed. Every member finds every article.
Sample records, if your organization has added sample data, are marked Sample in the results.
