How the numbers are worked out
Twilio charges by the minute and by the number. The calculator multiplies your minutes by Twilio’s published US rates: making a call to a US number, receiving a call on a local number, the browser’s side of every call, and recording. Each phone number is a monthly price. A per-seat plan is its published price a seat, paid yearly, times your people (or its minimum number of seats), and its included minutes are named beside it.

Questions
Why does a call in the browser count twice?
Twilio bills one leg between Twilio and the browser and another between Twilio and the other phone. A minute you answer in the browser is $0.0085 plus $0.004, and a minute you place is $0.014 plus $0.004, at the rates read on October 14, 2026.
Is paying per minute always cheaper than paying per seat?
Not always. A per-seat plan that includes minutes can cost less for a team that spends most of the day on the phone. Enter your own minutes: the table shows both side by side.
What does this leave out?
Taxes and regulatory fees, calls to other countries, toll-free numbers, text messages, and the price of the software you place the calls from. Each vendor’s own page has the full price list.
