How fast your flows run
Flows run within a minute or so of the thing that starts them. To keep a mistake in one flow from touching thousands of records at once, your organization's flows share a budget of actions each hour.
The hour's budget
On Plus, your organization's flows may take 2,000 actions an hour between them. An action is one thing a flow does: setting a field, making a task, sending an email or telling someone. A flow with two actions takes two from the budget each time it runs.
A flow also acts on any one record at most ten times a day.
What a flow's page says
Open a flow from Settings, Flows. Under its picture, ContactRoll says the hour's budget for your plan. When the flow has runs waiting, it also says how long they'll take at that pace. For example: this flow has 4,800 runs waiting, about 5 hours at your plan's pace.
When the budget is spent
If the next run would take the hour past its budget, the flow pauses itself. It switches off, says why on its page, and everyone who may switch flows on is told once. Runs that were still waiting are skipped, and Runs shows each one with the reason.
Nothing is lost: the records are as they were before the skipped runs. When you're ready, switch the flow on again from its page. If a flow is meant to act on a large number of records, change those records in smaller batches, or write to us about your plan's budget.
