Add meeting notes to a contact, company or deal
After a meeting, keep what was said on the person, the company or the deal it was about. Anyone who can add notes there can add meeting notes, and everyone who can see the record can read them.
Add notes
On a contact, company or deal, find Meeting notes and press Add meeting notes. Give the meeting a title and, if you like, the day it was held. Then either:
- Upload a transcript: a .vtt or .srt caption file, a .txt file, or a Word document (.docx), up to 2 MB. Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom can each save a transcript in one of these forms. Its words are read in your browser and shown to you before you save; the file itself isn't kept.
- Paste them: your own notes, or a transcript copied from somewhere else.
Press Save the notes. The record's timeline says notes were added. Card, Social Security, routing and bank account numbers are masked when the notes are kept, as they are in a customer's email.
Find them again
Open All meeting notes on the record to see every meeting, newest first. The search at the top of ContactRoll finds meeting notes by their words, under In meeting notes, but only on records you can see.
Delete notes
The person who added meeting notes can delete them, and so can anyone whose role lets them delete other people's notes. Meeting notes are kept as long as your organization keeps call recordings (Settings, Calling), and go with the record they're on.
